Gail Sinton

As a Regent Samsic Divisional Manager, Gail Sinton spends plenty of time on her feet. But in April she went above and beyond that ‘call of duty’ – in a 30 mile charity walk!

Raising money for the incredible work carried out by Macmillan Cancer Support Nurses, and in spite of sore feet, Gail battled the elements to walk 30 miles to victory (and a chocolatey reward!) along the towpath from Birmingham to Worcester.

Gail’s chosen charity estimated that last year two and a half million people in the UK were living with cancer. And in the face of a disease that often impacts so drastically on sufferers – affecting work, relationships, finances, and the lives of loved ones – Macmillan Nurses are committed to standing by sufferers, to help them to feel in control once more.

Through her fundraising, keen walker Gail lends her support to those who in turn support so many. Last year, she climbed Mount Snowdon for the cause; later this year, she will take on Worcester to Tewkesbury.

Ultimately, Gail plans to walk one hundred and sixty-three miles, along the entirety of the M5!

Macmillan Nurses tirelessly provide practical, medical, financial and emotional support, to ensure that no one with cancer walks alone. And through the cold, rain and blistered feet, Gail walked with them too.
